She participated as a contestant on Indian Idol Season 2 in 2006 and is now a judge on Indian Idol 10. Neha Kakkar was also a judge on the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champ. Her brother Tony Kakkar is also a playback singer. Neha Kakkar is one of the most popular female singers in contemporary India. She is especially popular with teenage boys and girls. She is also a classic example of talent emerging from reality TV.
